Stirling County Women’s 1XV signed off the first phase of their league campaign with a convincing 88–11 win over Cartha QP at home, maintaining their unbeaten record and securing top position ahead of the league split. County started strongly and set the tone early, with Ceitidh Ainsworth scoring the opening try and adding the conversion. From there Stirling built steadily on their lead with first-half tries from Heather Davis, Rebekah Douglas, Holland Bogan, captain Jodie Murdoch, and Rachel Cox, showcasing both individual skill and cohesive team play.

Cartha responded with a try before halftime, but County remained in control throughout. Ceitidh Ainsworth completed a hat-trick in an all-round standout performance, supported by tries from Brogan Henderson, Claudia McLaren, Sarah Murdoch, and a second for Jodie Murdoch. Ella Rae also got on the scoresheet in a match that saw several strong performances across the squad. Debutant Skyla Smith made her first appearance, and the team showed resilience and composure from start to finish.

Ceitidh Ainsworth was named Player of the Match, Sam Taganekurukuru was recognised as Forward of the Match, and Brogan Henderson took Back of the Match. Reflecting on the game, second row Holland Bogan commented, “Tough game, definitely very physical, but we got through it and got a lot of tries,” while Aicha Sutcliffe added, “We had to really work to get those tries today, so really good effort from the team.” With seven wins from seven, Stirling County now head into the next stage of the season full of confidence and focus.
