About Us

Stirling County Rugby Football Club boasts a proud history stretching back to the 1870s, with roots in local teams before officially forming in 1946 through the merger of Stirling HSFP and Bridge of Allan RFC. The club has since become a powerhouse in Scottish rugby, renowned for its vibrant youth development and a clear pathway from minis to senior rugby.

Stirling County has produced a remarkable number of age-group and senior internationals. Notable men’s internationals include George Graham, Ally Hogg, Alastair Kellock, Kenny Logan, Grant Gilchrist, James McLaren, and Finn Russell. In women’s rugby, Siobhan ‘Shibby’ Cattigan, Rachel Shankland, Rachel McLachlan, Evie Gallagher, and Eva Donaldson have all represented Scotland at the highest level, with Cattigan in particular being a cornerstone of both club and country.

The club’s legacy is built on homegrown talent, community spirit, and a commitment to excellence on and off the pitch.
