The Celtic Challenge returns this month after a very successful inaugural season last year. The competition sees teams from Scotland, Ireland and Wales compete in the first women’s domestic cross-border competition. This year, the competition expands, with each team meeting twice before the top-placed team are crowned champions.

GLASGOW WARRIORS
Glasgow Warriors were the first to announce their squad yesterday, including 7 current County players in the line up! Holland Bogan, Aicha Sutcliffe, Ceitidh Ainsworth and Sky Phimister return for their second seasons with Glasgow, while Sarah Murdoch, Abi Evans and Maia MacDonald earn their first inclusions in the squad.
EDINBURGH RUGBY
Edinburgh announced their squad just hours later, with 2 County girls getting the call up. Chloe Brown makes the move from Glasgow for her debut season with the gunners, whilst Samaanther Taganekurukuru returns for her second season.
The Celtic Challenge kicks off on the 20th of December as Edinburgh Rugby host Glasgow Warriors at Hive Stadium. It’ll be a fiery match up! Make sure you get along to Edinburgh where you’re sure to see some County girls in action. All Celtic Challenge matches will also be streamed for free on RugbyPassTV.
