The whole club is delighted to see Grant Hughes playing on the world stage for the Rugby Sevens.
Following Grant’s great performance throughout the most recent FOSROC Super6 season, it has been great to see Grant progress and be selected to represent Scotland in the World Rugby Sevens this year.
Grant Hughes said,
“I am grateful for the opportunity to get to represent my country through the sevens and the chance to play against some of the best and fittest rugby players in the world. The sevens environment is amazing and we are a very close group of players. Really looking forward to getting out into the pitch and also enjoying every part of the experience.”
Stirling County’s Super6 Head Coach, Ben Cairns, commented:
“Grant was one of our most consistent performers last season in FOSROC Super6 so it’s great to see that consistency and quality being rewarded with his selection for Scotland Sevens. We cannot wait for Grant to show what he can do on the world stage and we know he will do us proud out in Spain.”
