Fixtures Confirmed for this summer’s FOSROC Super6 Championship

Stirling County's Super6 team will be back in action soon! The 2022 FOSROC Super6 Championship will return this August.

The 12 matches will be shown live on FreeSports in the UK & Republic of Ireland. Matches will be played on Fridays and Saturdays, with one game on a Friday night and two games on a Saturday.

When the domestic season begins, kick-off times are adjusted to ensure there is no clash with Tennent’s Premiership and National 1 fixtures.

FreeSports will show all 10 Friday night games live and exclusive in the UK & Ireland, as well as a semi-final and the final.

The Friday night matches will also be available on the Scottish Rugby website for those living outside of the UK & Ireland.

Broadcast details for the Saturday games will be confirmed in due course.

The Championship gets underway on Friday 5th August at Millbrae with Ayrshire Bulls hosting Heriot’s Rugby live on FreeSports and Stirling County’s first game will be on Saturday 6th August 2022

Daryn Cochrane, Stirling County’s Super6 General Manager, commented

“Following on from a fantastic second placed finish in the Sprint Series, we are all looking forward to challenging for top honours in the Championship. The experience around match days has been heightened at Bridgehaugh this season and the large crowds that we have been getting have really given the team a huge lift. We look forward to welcoming you down to County again from the start of August onwards for some fun and fantastic rugby. Keep your eyes peeled for some really great additions to the whole event experience!”

Ben Cairns, Stirling County’s Super6 Head Coach, commented,

“After a relatively successful FOSROC Sprint Series we are really looking forward to the Championship season. The Sprint Series was all about creating momentum and developing the whole group so we are in a place to have a proper crack at the Championship and whilst we came up just short in the final game, we feel we have achieved that aim.

With 3 home matches to start the Championship season we will be doing all we can to ensure we start fast, making Bridgehaugh our fortress. We’ve loved having large crowds at all our home matches so far and we hope this will continue into the business end of the season.”
