We are pleased to confirm the following five Senior Academy Players who will join our 32-man squad in the FOSROC Super6 Sprint Series and Championship.
- Euan Cunninghan
- Mike Gray
- Ross McKnight
- Max Williamson
- Angus Fraser
Euan Cunningham, Angus Fraser, Ross McKnight and Max Williamson formed part of last year’s Stirling County Super6 squad and are well versed and experienced in what Stirling County stands for and what we are trying to achieve.
Mike Gray is new to Stirling County’s Super6 32-man squad line up since last season.
- 4 out of 5 players have played for Stirling County previous to being in this year’s Stirling County Super6 line up.
- 3 out of 5 players have previously played at Dollar Academy – highlighting the strong relationship County has with Dollar Academy.
Mike began his rugby career at Dollar Academy when he was nine years old and has gone on to represent Scottish Rugby at U16, U17 and U18 age-grades. Mike has previously played at Stirling County, and we look forward to having him back at the club within the Super6 squad.
Head Coach, Ben Cairns, commented,
“It’s great to have such alignment and consistency with the five senior academy players allocated to us. All five have played for County previously, four of whom have played youth rugby at the club. There is a big link with Dollar Academy too, three of the five players are former pupils and join another three within our contracted squad who have this association also. This identity and connection is really important to us and it’s fantastic that it has been reflected in our Senior Academy allocation as well as our 27-man contracted squad.”
